As the marketing and creative lead orchestrating Olympic gold medalist Red Gerard’s signing to the Dakine snowboard team in January 2024, I swiftly conceptualized and executed a high-impact welcome announcement to capitalize on the buzz following his X-Games victory while wearing Dakine gear.
With rumors spreading fast, I prioritized a rapid yet authentic rollout, focusing on Red’s effortless style and prowess beyond the competitive arena. My vision was to capture the essence of classic, stylish snowboarding, showcasing Red’s unique flair in a way that resonated with Dakine’s core audience.
Collaborating with videographer Malachi Gerard and photographer Aaron Blatt, we produced dynamic, high-quality content that highlighted Red’s raw talent and charisma, reinforcing Dakine’s commitment to authentic snowboarding culture.
This strategic campaign not only amplified Red’s addition to the team but also solidified Dakine’s position as a brand synonymous with the best names and products in action sports.
